Isuzu's class leading F-Series range

Already enjoying a strong reputation as a favourite South African heavy-truck brand, the new Isuzu F-Series is set to establish itself as the heavy truck segment class leader in every respect for safety, economy and environmental care.

The Isuzu F-Series heavy truck range are all engineered with electronically-managed, fuel-efficient, common rail diesel engines. With the sole exception of the F-Series 4 x 4 model, ABS braking systems are standard (except 4 x 4).

Isuzu F-Series – a GVM to match every task

Gross vehicle mass (GVM) is the recognised basis for vehicle selection and capital investment for any transport task. GVM represents a truck’s total operational mass that includes payload, cargo body, driver and crew, chassis and cab and any other extras.

The all-new F-Series launched in 2010 includes a 13-model line-up compared to the previous 9-model range. Isuzu F-Series now offers GVM’s stepped from 10000kg to 11000kg, 13500kg, 15000kg, 16000kg, 22500kg, 24000kg and 26000kg. It is the most formidable freight carrier line-up available to South African operators. Specialist F-Series models include  full-time 4 X 4 and 6 X 2 freight carriers, a 6 X 4 refuse compactor and truck tractors.

For trailer operations Isuzu F-Series has a gross combination mass (GCM) that tops 32000kg in the model FVR 900.
